The Soccer Stars is free soccer program that is run out of the NW Como Recreation Center in St. Paul.  Jonah Fields is the lead instructor for the program and has brought in many of the high school players he coaches from Como Park High School's boy's and girl's soccer teams.

In the spring of 2014 Darcy Rivers, then Director of NW Como, approached Jonah about starting a summer soccer activity at NW Como.  The "Soccer Review" program started that summer with two age groups, ages 4-6 and ages 7-11 with 30-40 soccer eager kids in each group.  In 2015 Soccer Review went through a few changes.  First, they moved to the baseball/softball fields behind the mini-golf course at Como Park. They also changed the name of the program to "Soccer Stars".  In 2016 Soccer Stars moved again, this time to main pavilion north of the Como Pool.

Now, in 2017 Soccer Stars is located at McMurray Fields with the same amount of participants.  Soccer Stars is and has been free for all participants thanks to the support of their sponsors (Rice St. Athletic Club, Como Park High School Booster Club, Friends of Como Park Athletics, Robert St. Business Association, and NW Booster Club).

Jonah Fields says, "Personally, seeing how the young Soccer Stars adore the attention from the high school players, and how the smiles of the little Soccer Stars put on the faces of my players; that this connection through the game of soccer brings joy to all is a feeling I look forward to every summer."
