The Auburn Tigers made it to the NCAA Tournament for the tenth time in school history by winning the SEC Tournament Championship.  It was the first time since 1985 that Tiger had won the SEC.  Auburn enters this weekend as the only team out of the four to have 30 wins, and the only team in NCAA history win games against Kansas, North Carolina, and Kentucky in consecutive games.

U.S. Bank Stadium was built for football first, but they also took into account for other events like the Final Four and Head Coach Bruce Pearl was asked about the sight lines for his players, “ I think we were here this morning and got a lot of shots, and the sight lines are really good.”

The Tigers will face Virginia on Saturday night and one of the challenges Auburn will have is to make the Cavaliers play a more up-tempo game.  Something Pearl is aware of, “I don’t think we can make Virginia play faster then they play.  Because the rule changes, trapping has virtually been taken out of the game.  So, we’ve got to make them go faster in the half-court, and when you make that offense go faster, you extend, you break down, and you have whatever you want.”

Forward Anfernee McLemore’s thought mirrored those of his head coach, “Yeah we definitely think we want to push the tempo of the game.  They’re going to want to be a little more patient.”

Shutting down Virginia’s Kyle Guy is another key to game that Auburn will have to figure out.  “He does a good job of shooting the ball at a very high percentage, so it is going to take a team effort to try and stop him.”, Guard Bryce Brown said.Auburn will have their hands full if they want to keep they’re National Championship hopes alive.  Their game against The Virginia Cavaliers is at 5:09pm on Saturday afternoon.
